A 40.5-ton rail-mounted gantry crane (RMG) was delivered by TAIDA GLOBAL in July 2026 to Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia, for an intermodal container handling project.
The crane was configured for container loading, unloading, transfer, and stacking operations within a railway logistics terminal. Its rail-mounted traveling system provides stable longitudinal movement along the container handling area, while the double-girder structure offers the rigidity required for continuous outdoor cargo handling operations.
Before delivery, the main girders, supporting legs, trolley system, traveling mechanisms, electrical equipment, access platforms, ladders, guardrails, and other major components were inspected. Functional checks were also carried out on the lifting and traveling systems before the equipment was prepared for handover.
Because of the large dimensions and operating requirements of the crane, the project included on-site installation coordination, rail alignment verification, electrical system connection, mechanism adjustment, commissioning, and operator training. The equipment was commissioned according to the terminal layout and container handling requirements of the customer.

The project delivery included the main crane structure, trolley and lifting mechanism, crane traveling system, electrical control equipment, access platforms and ladders, safety-related components, installation support, commissioning assistance, and operator training.
Following installation and commissioning, the crane was prepared for container transfer operations between railway tracks, container storage areas, and terminal transport vehicles. The project provides the customer with a dedicated heavy-duty lifting solution for improving container handling efficiency within the intermodal logistics terminal.
